4/10/02: Cosplay pictures up! 10 wonderful shots of what you no doubt missed. Pics up in Art section. Working on a few things, this weekend should see some massive output from yours truly. Adam's up in the staff section, couldn't be happier to have my fellow Sophomore onboard this firey train to hell that we call the Anime Faction. Logo contest comes to a crashing halt on Friday at 2:15... I so far have about fifteen entires, which is absolutely AMAZING. Very proud of you people. Get in that last minute stuff, you've got about two days. Forum still empty. Other stuff needs to be put up, like MTAC info, but that all comes tomorrow. Night...

4/8/02: It's the AM again... ouch ouch ouch. All weekend all nighters and such. Holding off on updating art page because of incoming submissions... the freshmen are submitting LOTS of logo designs (see contests)and for that, we are truly thankful. We got our first submission today, from Adam! Adam, fill out a stupid profile or something so the staff page isn't just me. I feel lonely. And alone. Oooh... just checked a calendar... in school meeting is tomorrow. I'll prepare some stuff later today. The only official MTAC bullshit will be here pretty soon. Well, the only official MTAC stuff for our club. Real page is here. Send in things, or hand them to me if you see me in school. Absolute crazed amounts of music reviews approachith. Got a couple of tricks up my sleeves yet... Currently watching Ranma, and while I'm holding off on the review, I like it. Mini-reviews till I get around to it: Ranma good, Lain bad, Hand Maid May in the middle. Post, submit, do something. Hasta.
3/31/02: Cosplay review coming soon...pictures should be up a bit after that... Art is going to double as the pictures page. I still don't know why I'm going this. Sung asked me yesterday 'I want to do something for the anime club that doesn't involve writing.' If anyone comes up with ... oh I don't care, no one but me goes to this page anyway. I'm updating a few music reviews when I care to this week... guest reviews are appreciated, but no one will ever know, muahahaha...
3/30/02: Added lots of music stuff. Basically got everything up I've ever written. A few unfinished things... and added a pre-Cosplay prediction in the articles section. The reviews/music section should be pretty full about now. Still working on other stuff. I feel very stupid writing this, because, thanks to the counter, I know that other than the first day, I am the only person who has been to this site. The forum is barren. I'll update the songs of the day when people actually get those... (3/27 update bellow). Tomorrow's the Cosplay... I'm going as Lain. I'm a little afraid of my costume, as my new article shows... but this keeps me strong. I don't know of any forum where I can vent my true thoughts about Pickler... so why not here? I don't dislike him as a human being. I just hate what he acts like. He's actually a pretty funny guy, and not too terrible to be around. No worse than myself, I guess. But, as everyone has acknowledged, he believes himself to be above humanity. Now, everyone has a little of that. I guess the simplest way to put it is that I don't hate him. I don't even WANT to dislike him. But he makes it very hard not to sometimes.
3/27/02: Added counter... I want to see how many times a day I visit. Our Cosplay is this weekend... I'm trying to decide if being Lain is a good idea... I'd say e-mail me with your thoughts, but I dislike talking to myself. Big update coming this weekend...so send in whatever you have. [snicker]. Oh, I'm sorry... heh... Since I update almost every day and plan to keep that schedule, I'm gonna start posting the Song of the Day. Every day a new Mp3... check it out. The first is a track I really like from Cowboy Bebop called 'Call Me, Call Me'. A real keeper, and the full review of bebop (and a lot of other music) goes up this weekend. Check it... Each song only stays up for a few days, as I have limited space. Likely about 3-4 days before it goes down. Share the love. For the low end waifs, here's Hedgehog's Dilemma from Evangelion in MIDI. Get the hell off of 56k... See you this weekend...
3/25/02: It's oh-so close to midnight and I really need to stop pulling these late nights. But I've registered a forum for the club... check it out on the nav line up top. Anime Faction updated this weekend, everyone commend Kyla, maybe it'll happen again sometime! Oh, also note how she has c&p'd most of it from yours truly... I'm not sure if that's a compliment or a joke at her old article... Oh, and this site doesn't look like human waste because I like the look, as I said, so if anyone's into that whole 'doing work' thing I hear about, we could use some. Staff so far stands at me and only me, so don't be shy... E-mail...

I'm not going to lie to you people; I'm no webmaster, I'm no graphic artist, and I'm no HTML guru. I'm not aiming for that 'so simple it looks good' look, either. Imagine this as a webpage without waste...
My sister site [that likely won't appreciate this link] is happy [NOTE: not necessarily true] to be the better looking of the two of us.
Return to five years ago. AOL had just released a program called 'AOLPress' which was a WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) editor that worked only with AOL. I was a dirty AOLer back then, and it was what I cut my teeth on. I never really advanced out of it, so in my Internet infancy, I was frightened and confused by HTML.
I have since then upgraded all the way to the WYSIWYG editor from Frontpage '98. Once again, I'm years behind and I like it that way. I use Paintshop Pro 5 and FPE 98 exclusively. This site is uploaded with freeware. It's hosted on Tripod. I'm cheap, outdated, and I couldn't be happier.
Two years ago, I found myself in my high school anime club as a freshman. I have since then upgraded my status from 'worthless' to 'semi-worthless with quasi-worth'. Quite a stretch, but I'll settle for nothing less.
We have a webpage that I mentioned earlier. Maintained by Kyla... but therein lies the problem.
Kyla maintains it, in much the same way that we kept the peace in Vietnam. A lot of people died and mostly what happened was senseless. I see many parallels.
Kyla has a lot on her plate. She's going to college and she doesn't have time to be bothered with working this crazy '10kb text file' garbage. Those things can take fully TWENTY seconds to upload! If you're running the US missile defense system on your network, that is.
I have the utmost respect for Kyla. But she, for reasons unknown, does not update as regularly as, say, dead people. As a fix for this, I am creating this page. Little to no graphics, simple style, and even more basic than most people would allow their 401 page to be; We here at Shoddily Done Anime will spare almost every expense to bring you the worst looking anime page we can.
We'll bring you quicker updates with none of those boring 'graphics' or 'colors'! Silly fads that won't last; I say... Enjoy your damn font color [white]. It violates my principles, but it's the most (least?) I can do.
We also have a few perks. We're not specifically school sponsored, so it doesn't much matter what we say. We may not have the traffic that Kyla can generate, but maybe if she links us... (*Update!* Kyla has not only linked us, but we're in the 'featured pages' thing. W00T!.
